How It Began

A Colorado Couple Finds Their Place In The Valley

Amy and Lucas had built homes together in Colorado, Amy with an eye for design that had always been part of who she was, Lucas with the builder's obsession for getting every detail right. When they found this one-acre plot in the valley outside Sayulita (introduced to it by their friend Miguel), they saw something most people wouldn't. They transformed the original Hacienda first, then built the Villa, then the Casona. Not through architects or contractors, but through vision, craft, and an almost stubborn love of the place.

How We Got Our Name

"Aquí en México vamos poco a poco."

Their friend Miguel watched the dream keep growing. He couldn't believe how big they were dreaming. One day, he put his hand on Lucas's shoulder and smiled: "Lucas, aquí en México vamos poco a poco." And that became the name.

The Build

Little By Little, A Sanctuary Emerged.

  • The Beginning

    Amy and Lucas discover the one-acre plot outside Sayulita through their friend Miguel. They see potential where others see jungle.

  • The Hacienda

    The original structure, transformed over time into the colonial-style heart of the estate. Long shaded verandas, exposed beams, red clay tiles.

  • The Villa (2019)

    A contemporary complement to the Hacienda. Modern finishes, a professional chef's kitchen, Oaxacan textiles, and custom tiles from Guadalajara.

  • The Pool & Wellness Spaces

    The 16-meter heated saltwater pool, the Temazcal, the ice bath, and the open-air yoga studio take shape.

  • The Casona

    Full glass walls, open double-story ceilings, a chef's kitchen, and an open-air bathroom surrounded by trees.

  • Today

    The estate hosts weddings, retreats, and private groups from around the world. Amy's design eye keeps it beautiful. Caleb and Roy handle bookings and operations. And Lucas still dreams about what comes next.

Sayulita is more than a beach town, it's a UNESCO-recognized Pueblo Mágico, celebrated for its cultural richness, natural beauty, and spirit of community. Art, surf, mezcal, and music dance through cobblestone streets. Poco a Poco sits outside town in the valley, minutes from the surf break, markets, and restaurants, but completely private and removed from the crowds. 45-60 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport, depending on traffic. Private airport transfers available.
